How did you meet Coach Rich Johns?
I met Coach Johns at Maple Avenue Middle School when I attended an assembly and Coach was the presenter. I have been fortunate enough to keep in touch with Coach Johns throughout the years.
How has the Act With Respect Alway mission affected you personally?
The Act With Respect Always mission has guided me in many ways since learning about the program. It is something I try to instill in my everyday interactions. Even on days that I might be struggling I always think about the question “What is your/my 99?” and it inspires me to keep thinking about doing for others and being kind. It always makes me feel better if I can make at least one person smile each day.
Please share with us how you have, or will in the future “Pay it Forward”
I hope to “Pay it Forward” in my future career as either a nurse or a teacher (I haven’t 100% settled on one yet). Both professions will gift me a daily opportunity to be kind and compassionate to my patients, students and/or colleagues.
How would you describe the Act With Respect Always mission to others?
Act with Respect Always is a community; a community of people that strive to make a difference in the world around them. Often, I think of Coach’s “What is your 99” mission?”, which inspires me every day to just give my best.
Would you recommend Rich to speak about Respect to others?
Coach’s message and mission has really stuck with me throughout the years and meeting Coach is really something. I will forever be grateful for and I believe that anyone, who has the opportunity to at least listen or meet Coach Johns, is lucky, He has so much wisdom to give to the community and to whoever he meets.
